Good ol days

Stevie to me, holds a special history in my life. My Big Brother introduced me to his music when I was 17 in 1988. I was listening to different music at the time, and he'd say'' Man you gotta hear this guy'', " stop listening to that". I loved rock music anyway but Blues, was an eye opener. It just kind of became part of me instantly. I'de worn out his "Couldn't Stand the Weather" cassette at the time when I took up electric guitar.Sadly for me, I wasn't able to see Stevie Live, in Late 90'' in Phoenix,Az where he performed in October/Nov. at the State Fair where my brother had seen him a few times and recalling every detail of the show, how Stevie would hunch down and just move with the beat and just kick ass everytime. Anyway, My Brother has since passed but Stevies music reminds me of him and the great discovery I've might have not found if not for him. A priviledge in short because without the music I would not be here today.Nuff Said

Jeff who

out of nowhere, some guy walked up to me in a pawn shop and said he saw the JB SRV shows...the comment stuck with me, he said, " I saw that concert and you know...that Jeff Beck ain't got nothin' on SRV" I agreed and never saw the guy again...I occasionally have these weird experiences with complete strangers who are SRV fans that re-tell stories about being at Alpine Valley etc or some dive way back in the day...SRV, thanks for all the love you shared...your fire still burns bright with me...
